A Challenge and cute butterflies

On my daily blogs visits I came across with this site http://aussiescrapsource.typepad.com%20on/ on Nic Howards blog http://nichoward.typepad.com/my_weblog/. The Aussie scrap source is hosting fantastic challenges and since I had nothing to do this morgning (not true) I did this LO for the Distressing/Every Day challenge. The challenge was to use everyday pics, Scenic Route or SEI products, a lot of layering, distressing and lots of pics.

The title: Her Moment or In Her Zone
The journaling:I love watching you exploring the world and learn how every thing works. Every thing is new to you and I love seeing things I have seen so many times before through your eyes.
Papers: Scenic Route. I totally love these !!!!
Chipboard letters: Scenic Route and I painted the red letters with Making memories paint.
Ink: Rangers.
The Butterfly is Home Accent cricut cartridge. I used a pop up dot undir it.

This Evening I got together with my scrap buddies. I did one LO and worked on another one that is not ready yet.

These are pics of Sunneva from 2006. She was just playing on the floor and I got caught up in the moment with her and took some pics. These pics are so typical for her. Fun and bubbly.

The butterflies are from the Home Accent cartridge. I used Scenic Route paper and I painted the edges with glitter and put some bling in the middle. I love how they turned out. They are so freaking cute IRL. Papers are Pink Pailsee suprise !!! I used Bazzill as a photo mat. Title letters are Jasmine cartridge. The brads in the ribbon are Queen & co ofcourse and the ribbon is something I got from my mom I think. Ink Ranger Tim Holtz. The title is Butterfly.

These are so cute !!!

Tracking my progress and story

I'm going to use my Summer Vaction to start again my gym routine and clean out the junk food etc. Since I changed jobs the Summer of 2005 I have gained alot of extra weight. Now is time to get rid it ! I want to track my progress and record this story because I want to remember this period of my life.

I'm going to use a Rusty Pickle mini album for this book. It has really many pages so it's perfect for this project. I used my fav paperline from Pink Pailsee for the cover. It has numbers on it so perfect :-) The transparancy is MME. The flower is Prima and the chipboard is Creative Imaginations. Title letters are Making Memores and American Tradtions (I think...). The ribbons are Love Elsie, Making Memories, Anne Griffin and the pink one is from a store called Sösterne Grene. I uses Ranger Ink to distress it.

I wanted to use a positive title for this book. "Working on my Body Image" sounds good to me since that is what I'm doing.

The plan is it do a weekly entry and I want to mix journaling with pics. I hope this will help me to stay on track !!!

Guest Designer challenge - Tammy Tutterow

There is an amazing Guest Designer over at HSS http://www.happyscrappinscrapbooking.net/ this month. It's Tammy Tutterow http://tammytutterow.com/ she has such a fab style.

The challenge was to take pic of our hands and journal about them.

This is my version of Tammy's challenge.
I used some Crate Paper and KI lace paper. I did cut the Q&C felt down to get this look and I used Q&C brads to give the felt something little extra. The cute felt flower in the corner is also Q&C. The flower is all Prima.

The jounaling says (sorry for bad translation)
What does my hand say about me ? I truly can't say. The first thing that comes into to mind when I think about my hands is that I don't like them. I have always thought they were ugly. Mom says I have the same hands as my grandmother Anna Björg. That can be true since she does not have nice hands. Today my hands are too chubby. I can't even use my rings anymore and that makes me sad. I bite my fingernails when I'm stressed and since the last months have been stressfull I have no fingernails. On a good note these hand good care of a little girl and a husband. These fingers to an aweful lot of typing. These hands keep the house cleand. They are used to hold up books I love to read. I use them for my hobby scrapbooking and photography. These hands have worked all kinds of jobs but not much hard labour. Hopefylly these hands will old well. Hopefully they can carry my rings soon. Hopefully they are going to take care for more children and help the people I love to feel save.

A Photo Swap and old supplies

We had this really fun challenge over at HSS http://www.happyscrappinscrapbooking.net/ that Joan put together for us. It was a Photo Swap. I got pics from the very talented Giselle. She has 3 Grandsons so I got the change to do my first boy LO ! Whoo hooo. Giselle sent me pics of George her oldest Grandson. He is so cute. I have to admit that I was a little bit afraid using pics from someone else but it turned out to be so much fun.

For this LO I used BG papers and Bazzil. The stars are unknown chipboards. JB journaling tag (I left it blank since I'm sending the LO to Giselle). Bazzill chipboard letters and I used George Circut cartridge for the word Sweet. I used a SU punch on the BG paper. The crown is MR...I think and the ric rac I can't remember...seems like that is my problem these days.

This is a Pencil line sketch #94 http://www.pencillines.com/
After I cleaned my scrap room and organized it it seems like I'm reaching more and more out for my "old" supplies. Like so many other scrappers I have way to much stuff but I'm happy to report that I'm using more of my old stuff lately.

For this LO I used Bazzill paper and Scenic Route Laurel. The journaling box is a rub on from Autumn Leaves. The Chipboard flowers are Rusty Pickle. The paint is MM. The stamps on the flowers are Fancy Pants and for the title I used 3 Bugs in a Rug stickers.

The title says: Eyes.

A Clear scrap mini album - The 8 wonder

It seems like I really got my scrap energy back or maybe it has something to do with the fact that my DD is with her granparents on a vaction for 6 days !

Anyhow I did this acrylic album using a Clear Scraps funky heart album. All the papers are Scenic Route Laurel. Stamps are Autumn Leaves. Flowers Prima. Chipboard letters Bazzill. Some of the ribbon is Making Memories, Basic grey and others I can't remember.

I love the fact that I used "old" supplies for this project. I loved every LO I saw where the Laurel paper was used and finally I bought it but never used it until now.

The pics were taken earlier this year. I took my DD these Caves called Maríucaves. We have been there few times before and she loves it everytime. We played Princess and Dragon game guess who was the Dragon. I distressed the papers and the flowers since I wanted it have the dirty mud feeling.

The title is: The 8th wonder ....my DD you see :-)

My Scrap Space

In April my little family moved from an appt. to a House. In my old space I used to scrap on our dining room table and I used to leave "creative" mess all over the place for days sometimes (I know I'm bad). Today things are alot different. I got my own space to scrap in.

Let me share some pics.

I'm going to try this out

So everybody seem to be doing this scrapblog thing so why not me. I'm going to give this a try and see how it works out. I may have to write this in icelandic and english...what do you think.

I'm so proud and honored that I got two LO's featured on the Queen & Co blog...it feels like my 15 mintues or something like that. Go and check it out http://queenandcompany.typepad.com/queen_co_indulge_your_cre/

My amazing friend and scrapper Kathie http://kathied.blogspot.com/ who is on the Rusty Pickle design team (lucky her) inspired me to buy a really small mini album from RP sometime last year. I have been looking at it for ages now not knowing what to do with it. It finally hit me it was perfect for a My Family album because it's small enough to carry in your purse.

I used Rusty pickle album. All the papers are from Pink Paislee http://www.happyscrappinscrapbooking.com/pinkpaisleespringfling.html I can't get enought of this paper line. I think it's my fav paper line today. I used Jenni Bowlin journaling boxes for the quotes http://www.happyscrappinscrapbooking.com/jbsMP255-p-jennibowlin.html The flowers are Prima and the flower brads are Queen & co.

I used 6 pics and 6 quotes about family for this album.
The quotes are:
-In families people give each other hugs and are there for one another
-All you need is Love
-A Family is like a Flower. To flourish it needs love and time spent with it.
-Having some place to go is home. Having someone to love is family. Having both is a blessing.
-A Love is like a Circle it never ends
-If anyone asks what your accomplishments are...show them a picture of your children.

My Family
