It all started with my little Silja getting really sick. She was so sick that she was admitted to the childrens hospital for several days. She had a really bad case of Respiratory Syncytial Virus. She is doing so much better now but I'm so tired that I haven't be able to do anything else than taking care of her and Sunneva. Hopefully that is about to change. I miss scrapping. This weekend I really wanted to do two things. I want to do my Project 12 lo for febuary and I want to do the Pencil lines sketch. I really love the sketch for this week. I did not have enough time to do both things and to tell you the truth I don't feel that inspired these days. But I did Project 12. I loved the sketch but I don't love how it turned out. I don't know where my mojo is but the lo lacks layering and details. It's way to plain. The journaling is about how much I dislike Febuary. Strange since I got married Febuary 22 the year 2003. Febuary this year was all about cakes and parties. We celebrated all kinds of things in Febuary. Silja was babtized and we celebrated our 8 year weeding anniversary. DH and Sunneva were sick to name few things from the journaling.

TFL

Over and out
Annahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-76653465405034369632011-03-19T06:49:00.000-07:002011-03-19T07:09:51.323-07:00On track - two new lo's
I'm pretty happy with myself today because I'm on track with Silja's month album. Ok, I know she is only 4 1/2 months old but I'm still glad. I got the pics I took on her 3 and 4 months "birthdays" 2 days ago and I did both the lo's yesterday (well I finished them today).

My good friend Ása Lára gave me these awesome month cards from Little yellow bicycle before Sila was born and I have used them on her lo's so far. I was glad to see the the 3 months die cut was green. This page may look like a boy page but I love to be able to do a green lo's for her.

Title: 3 months

Supplies: Basic grey (some old paper), Bazzil, Maya Road, Stickles, MME, Prima, American Crafts, Little yellow bicycle and MLS.

And here is the 4 months lo for her album. I was saying to my hubby that I wish I had done this for Sunneva also. I have created lo's over the years using pics taken on her birthday and I have written a long text about how she is at each age but I don't have lo's with journaling about the first months in her life. I have 12 pics taken 17th of each month the first year but no journaling. I kept a diary for her at the time. Maybe I could use that one for journaling ???? Well I'm not sure what to do.

Title: 4 months. This is my first LO using pics of Sunneva and her friends sliding. I woke up with the girls and spent some quality time with them until noon. Then I had a crop date with my darling scrapgirls. It was so great to get out of the house for few hours. The girl who hosted the crop is also my neighbor so it only took me 3 minutes to walk to my house to breastfeed Silja. I had so much fun just scrapping and talking. One in the group wasn't able to come and we missed her but hopefully we'll be doing this again soon.

I did 2 one page lo's and 1 two pager.

This one I did using Pencil lines sketch #228. Great sketch for these pics of Sunneva in her Christmas Dress 2010.

Title: The Dress. I think I have bought all lines from them except two. I can't wait to buy their latest one called Playground. It's so perfect for scrappers with kids. Anyhow this one I did using a pic of Silja when she is 6 weeks old. So cute. The title Cutie. Yes, I went on a little shopping spree and bought the Emma Shoppe line from Crate paper. I just HAD to have it and since I had fallen in the first place I HAD to buy few other supplies too. You can judge me ! What I'm thinking is that I can fall once of the wagon but only once. The weeks just fly by one by one. Before I know it I'll be in the office again working...but that is not happening until late next winter so why am I talking about it :-)

Anyhow I bought this cute and adorable book called Moomin's Little book of Numbers for Silja the other day. I LOVE the Moomins. This book has the most beautiful color combos. So I'm putting it on my bucket list of scrapbooking. Hubby home sick for 2 days (he's never sick) and then home for another 2 days for Sunneva's school vactaion. Silja keeping me up most nights so I'm pretty tired and then there is Sunneva full of energy.

Yesterday this pic was taken of us for my "4 people 12 times project". Not the best pic but what can you do or say :-)

I haven't done much of scrapping and my scrapspace is a MESS. I was so unhappy with how it turned out that I was not going to post it but now while I'm writing this I'm thinking why not. This blog is kinda like my scrapdiary and why not show the work I'm not happy with also. What's up with that!

This family photo was taken by Sóley in January. What's so wrong with this picture is the fact that Silja is sleeping :-)
I haven't taken the Febuary photo yet. I still have 9 days to do it.

Tomorrow I'm starting the "From the Couch to 5 km" running program. I need to focus on getting myself into shape. My goal is 2 kg per month. Let's just say that I'll have to do that for many months to reach my final goal.

I use google reader to follow all the blogs I read. I follow 192 blogs and most of them are about scrapbooking. One of the blogs I read is Ania's "Little Corner of Ania". One thing she does that I totally love is to write a semi diary on her blog. I can't count the times I have tried to write a diary. I never stay with it for reasons I don't know. So I'm going to copy her idea and when I blog I'm going to do "my diary list" just for me.

Listening: to the sleeping sheep
Eating: Nothing
Drinking: Nothing
Wearing: A nursing top and pyjamas
Feeling: Tired but hoping to get maybe an half an hour (or more is Silja sleeps soundly) to to the Pencil lines sketch for this week
Weather: Still and mild
Wanting: More sleep and time
Need: More sleep and discipline
Thinking: About how much I want to be able to scrap tonight
Enjoying: The Silence (both girls are a sleep and DH is out with his friends)
Wondering: How many minutes I have until Silja wakes up
Planning: Our 8 year weeding anniversary next Tuesday

Over and outAnnahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-46552852690879912182011-02-18T03:19:00.000-08:002011-02-18T08:11:55.374-08:00Getting to know each otherAs you can imagine I'm taking alot of pics of Sunneva and Silja together. This 2-pager has 4 pics of them together the first days after Silja was born or from Nov 3 (her birthday) to Nov 29. The journaling is about how Sunneva is adjusting to this big change in our lives.

I saw this Dear Lizzy paper used in this way in the latest issue of Scrapbook Trends mag on a LO created by Sarah de Guzmen and I thought it was brilliant it's such a cool paper.

Title: Getting to know each other
Supplies: American Crafts, Crate paper, Hambly, Prima, Page frames, Jenni Bowlin and EK success.

TFL

over and out

Annahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-87175783455723852162011-02-17T10:45:00.000-08:002011-02-17T10:53:55.358-08:00A simple LOI'm trying to scrap lo's using pics taken the first days and weeks of Silja's life. I really like how it turned out, clean and simple. I used the sketch and it was fantastic to work with. I love this project and I'm so glad I'm finally doing this.

Each month I'm going to end the journaling with few words that sums up how the month was for us. Also this month I used a color combo that I feel describes the month very well for me. Grey = tired, pink= taking care of my two beautiful girls and blue = soft weather and spending alot of time home (inside). Don't ask why but these colors mind me of these things right now.

Last part of the journaling (the words): breastfeeding, crying (Silja), staying home alot (me), work (DH), school and hobbies (Sunneva), my mom and dad (helping out) and soft weather.

Supplies: Bazzill, Basic grey, Echo Park, Webesters, American Crafts, Martha Stewart, Stamping Up and EK success.

On the pics you can see my mom, my dad, Sunneva and Silja (and a little bit of me).

Also this means I have done 2 LO's so only 48 more to go :-)

TFL

over and out

Annahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-47934572206091192142011-02-02T09:00:00.000-08:002011-02-02T10:07:49.617-08:00Too much spending ?
Lately I have been spending too much money on scrapsupplies. I should be able to create 15 LO's and 4 cards per month (at least...right !) I can't believe it since I did not have that much time this month to scrap. These 12 LO's have been created when I have 10-15 minutes to spare.

This 2-pager took me "forever" to finish. Why ? Well I haven't had that much time the last few days because of my little girl. She really needs here mom to hold her these days.

I have this huge pile of pictures of Sunneva that I need to scrap and I'm working myself through them. I took these cute pics of her last Summer. The journaling tells her to always remember to enjoy the little things in life. Like flowers.

Title: Enjoy
Supplies: Zva Creative, Cosmo Cricket, Bazzill, Collage Press, American Crafts, Martha Stewart, EK Success, Prima, Skrapp og gaman (the gorgeous pink flowers) and scrap.is (the leaves pin)

First is page 2 and then comes page 1.

TFL

Over and out
Annahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-11834469494967879232011-01-29T14:13:00.000-08:002011-01-29T14:20:35.953-08:00Pion DesignI got few mintues today to play with the most beautiful paper ever it's from Pion Design and I bought it from an icelandic scrapstore Skrapp og gaman. Gorgeous paper ! I love it. I thought this pic taken when Silja was only 3 days old would be perfect with this paper. The gorgeous flowers are also from Skrapp og gaman.

Title: Precious
Supplies: Pion Design, Skrapp og gaman flowers, Prima and Bazzill.

TFL
Over and out

Annahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-8694708019502378272011-01-24T06:53:00.000-08:002011-01-24T07:01:59.495-08:00Beautiful DoodlebugI'm struggling with scrapping style. I feel stuck. I feel like all the LO's I create look the same and are not good enough. My problem is that I love so many differents styles. I love vintage, shabby chick, lo's filled with details, I love clean and classic etc but what is my style in all of this.

I have found out that I'm happier with my clean LO's. The one that have clean and straight line. I love details so what I'm aiming for is straight lines, clean look and details.

This is a LO I started yesterday and finished today. It's not straight and clean and guess what I'm not that happy with how it turned out.

What I love about this LO are these two Doodlebug papers I used for this LO (the red one and the one with the hearts).

These pics were taken last Summer. I have been wanting to the first one for few years now.

The first one is to create a 2-pager using pics from each month and the journaling will be about how the month was for us. Basically all the daily stuff. When I saw this Project 12 challenge on Davinie Fiero blog I thought it would be perfect for me to stay on track and stay motivated.

Another challenge I'm going to do this year is to take one pic each month of the family. I think it will be so much fun at end of year to see how much or how little we have changed. I saw this on this blog that's hosted by Tara Whitney. We will have 12 pics of the four of us at the end of this year. It will be my 4 people 12 times challenge.

I can't wait to start !

Over and out
Annahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02699978154262248209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1326667173214301262.post-83894029291162185272011-01-19T06:26:00.001-08:002011-01-19T08:41:27.037-08:002 Cards Echo ParkMy goal for January is complete !
