Summer School over at HSS

There are some fun summer school challenges going on over at HSS This my challenge that I put up this morning.

"Good morning class !

Today we are going to focus on health and exercise. We all know how important it is to try to stay healthy and in shape.
Did you know that the first “gym” filled with mechanical fitness contraptions was built by Swedish physician Gustav Zander in the late 19th century. Zander’s mechanical horse was an early version of the Stairmaster, a contraption for cardiovascular fitness designed to imitate a “natural” activity. His stomach-punching apparatus evokes contemporary “ab-crunching” machines. What makes Zander so important, for anyone trying to trace the Cybex family tree, is what happened when his machines, created in a European cultural context, immigrated to the US in the early twentieth century. They are prototypes of the workout equipment now ubiquitous in American life.

So your homework today is: Create a 1-pager or a 2-pager about what you or someone in your family does to "stay in shape". It can be about your kids and their activities.
I want to see you interpret in your own way “SHAPE AND/OR REPETITION” with the theme in mind ofcourse. Have fun and play with this concept.
Other requirements are to use something that interprets movement in the title and you need to use 4 differents colors.
Have fun and don't be late for your next class !!!
Here is mine page.

Sunneva has been in ballett for more then 2 years now. Even though it's not though on her body now it will be if she wants to continue her ballett study. I have more then 4 different colors. I placed the title on wings because wings are used to fly...right so there is my movement. The title is 1,2,3,4,5 Position and the numers stand for all the repetition they have in ballett. "
Guess what I did ...I bought a cuttlebug ! Now I can't wait to have it and try it.

Ebay and Cuttlebug

We are having an awesome summer here in Iceland and I have only 5 more working days until my Summer vaction starts. I can't wait !!!
I went on a shopping spree this morning...yes I know not very wise of me to do that since the dollar is 128 ISK (was 70 one year ago) but I have been working hard and I need a treat. So what did I buy ? I bought 36 Copic markers on Ebay. The are so many scrapbookers/stampers talking about these markers and hopefully I'll be as happy with them as they all are. I can't wait to learn how to use them and play around more with my stamps.
I also bought 3 Hero Arts stamps. This Woodgrain stamp, Christmas branch stamp and this Christmas Owl. I love what I have seen scrappers do with these stamps. I'm totally in love with Hero Arts stamps.
I signed up for an online class at Get it scrapped ! it's about how to make beautiful hand made cards. I totally love this class. The theacher Tania Willis is fantastic and her handouts are so cool and detailed. I'll be showing some of my cards soon.
The Cuttlebug has been drawing my attention latley. I really love all the embossing that is possible to do with it. I'm trying to make up my mind should I buy it for myself. If someone reads this blog (not many I think :-)) and can share their stories about the Cuttlebug with me I would be very thankful. Do you like it or not ???
Have a great weekend

The sun is shining, birds are singing and I'm at work. I have 12 work days until my vaction starts. I have to admit I'm getting pretty tired and I need my vaction.

Shaunte Wadley is a Guest Designer over at HSS. Check out her challenge for us this month here. I totally love the challenge she put out there for us.

"The challenge is to document someone or something using what I call a "grid."Divide your layout up into equal sized sections, and treat each section as a mini-layout."
So in July I sat down and created a Christmas LO :-) how funny is that.

I wanted to do a LO with pics of my fav christmas deco.

Title: Christmas stuff

HSS DT upload and more

The only thing that is keeping my alive these days (I know this sounds a little bit dramatic) is scrapping ! I still have 3 weeks of work before I can start my vaction. I don't know if I can make it !!! So what does a girl do ??? She works on her LO's :-)

HSS is having a DT call ! you should check it out. Sharon is the best boss ever and she has a wonderful and personal service. If you want to design for a great boss then this is the call for you. Check it out here.

Today is DT upload day over at HSS.
This month I used one of the new BG lines for my projects. I think this line is my all time fav. It's so much fun to play with. Bright colors and strong patterns. I love it. All the supplies I got from the HSS store. You should check out the store it has alot of new fun stuff.
Title: Yatzy. These pics are from 2007.
Supplies: BG Lime Rickey papers. Chipboard letters are Queen and Co they are so cute.

These pics are from this year. She is getting so big.
Title: Our sweetheart
Supplies: BG Lime Rickey papers and bling. Mavy Uchida circle punch.

Supplies: BG Lime Rickey papers, Cricut Walk in the Park cartridge, stickles glitter glue. EK succsess punch.
This LO is not a DT project just a LO I did last week. I had so much fun creating this one. I tried to focus on the layering and using up my "old" supplies.
Title: Yummy Yummy.
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, BG papers, MME paper (the green one in the frame), October Afternoon (the blue circles) and Collage press (the brown one under the title). The chipboard hearts are Rusty pickle. I used Acrylic paint and Stamping Up ink in them. The journaling box is Jenni Bowlin. The flowers are Prima and the buttons are from Lansing (Ithink). The fram is KI memories. Title letters are American Crafts and Making Memories.
My last LO for now. Ok I have to admit I'm a total sucker for fun kits. I have been following Label Tulips creations for some time now and I just had to join in with them. Not the best time since the dollar is really exspensive for us here in Iceland these months but what the heck you only live once right. So I got my kit yesterday and here is a LO I did late last night.
Title: Nieces. These pics are from last Easter.

New LO's

It's been a while but what else is knew :-) Here few new LO's

Lately I have been trying to figure out what I'm mostly drawn to when I look at a LO. I totally love layering and details. So I want to focus on that on my next lo's. I want to try to remember the details and use more of my stuff on my LO's. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. It's simple but a start.

Title: Cute

Here are few pics of the "details"
